Passing of Parishioners ~ Bill Acosta and Irma Houston Coleman and family members of parishioners and other upcoming event information
~~ OFFICIAL HOLY CROSS PARISH COMMUNICATION
Holy Cross Family,
The angel of death has visited several of our Holy Cross families recently. Please keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
William “Bill” Acosta
died peacefully on Ash Wednesday morning, surrounded by his family –
, his wife of 67 years, and other loved-ones. Bill was determined to live up to his God-given calling. He and his wife worked tirelessly during the 1980s’ Sanctuary Movement to ease the plight of newly-arrived Central American refugees. The Acostas also were instrumental in spearheading Holy Cross’ first free Legal Clinic. Their son
has served many years in our music ministry as a choir member and cantor.
We will say our final goodbyes to Bill on Thursday, March 14, at a wake service from 6-8pm. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9am on Friday, March 15. Both services will be held at Holy Cross. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery.
Irma Houston Coleman
has been called to her heavenly home.
er life will be celebrated Saturday, March 16 at Holy Cross. There will be a viewing from 10-11am, immediately followed by the Funeral Mass.
Holy Cross member
and her family will hold a Memorial Service for her uncle
Saturday, March 16 at 2pm here at Holy Cross.
We also pray for the repose of the soul of
who recently crossed over into glory. Willie is the son of
who serves faithfully with our Singles Ministry.
